Word of the Week

Week 2: 4th-10th January 2015

My Word of the Week this week is Remembrance.

A year ago on the evening of 7th January my Grandmother passed away.

Not a day goes by where I don’t think of her in someway she had such an impact on my, our lives.

Its been a year of wanting her there for so many things and sadness she was not, but at the same time happiness that she made such an impression that she is missed & wanted. I still want to tell her stuff, talk to her and for her to have seen things not only in my life but in others that she loved too.

I’m grateful she was the person she was to make me feel that much love for her.

I remember so much so often and so fondly. I still can’t help shed a tear for her and I’m not sure I ever will stop but they aren’t fully tears of sadness my word of the week a year ago almost was Saudade and my tears are this.

So as the Boden Catalogue came through the door on the 7th, I chuckled and flicked through it knowing she would have once been doing the same texting me about the nice things this new season and I Remembered her once again as I do everyday in someway.

Gosh, has it been a whole year? I do remember that word and the week, and the sad news of your grandmother’s passing. She sounds like she was a remarkable, loving woman, and it’s lovely that you can remember her in such a way x Thank you for sharing with #WotW
